Who makes these boards?

Every single piece is made by one person — me, MO — in a small shop in Alberta, Canada. No employees, no production line, no shortcuts. Every board is cut, glued, sanded, finished and branded by my own hands.

Where are you located?

Rural Alberta, Canada. Surrounded by prairie, sawdust and strong coffee.

Are these boards really handmade?

Completely. Every piece starts as raw lumber and ends as something unique. No two boards are ever identical because no two pieces of wood are ever identical.

Product Questions

Are your boards food safe?

Completely. Every board is finished with Watco butcher block oil — fully food safe.

What wood species do you use?

Maple, walnut, cherry, oak, hickory and more. Visit the Wood Species page for details.

Why are some boards more expensive?

Price reflects material cost, complexity and time. A simple board takes hours. A geometric statement piece can take days.

Will my board warp?

All wood moves with humidity — that's normal. Proper care keeps your board flat for decades.

Care and Maintenance

How do I care for my board?

Hand wash only — never dishwasher

Dry immediately after washing

Never soak in water

Oil every 1-3 months with food safe mineral oil

Store flat in a dry location

How do I oil my board?

Apply generous coat of food safe oil to all surfaces. Let soak 20 minutes. Wipe excess. Repeat until wood stops absorbing.

Can my board go in the dishwasher?

Never. Not even once.

Returns and Satisfaction

What is your return policy?

Due to the handmade nature of each piece returns are not accepted. However if there is ever a craftsmanship issue I will fix or replace your piece. Your satisfaction matters more than anything else.

What if I'm not happy with my custom order?

I won't let that happen. Every custom order includes a personal conversation before anything is started.

Every board that leaves this shop has my name burned into it. That's not just branding — that's a promise.

There are a lot of cutting boards in the world. But this one... this one's yours.
