Solid walnut, straight-grained and dark all the way through, with a built-in handle carved clean out of the same board — no hardware, no shortcuts, just wood shaped to do a job. Long enough to run the length of a table. Sturdy enough to actually carry something across the room.

One guy, one shop, out here in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Built to get picked up and used, not just looked at.

Good for charcuterie, good for bread, good for hauling a spread out to guests without needing a second trip.

Care: hand wash, dry standing up, oil it now and then. Keep the wood happy and it'll keep you fed.
